Custom8 is confident that it can push the optimization of passive beds to the highest standards. However, we also strongly believe that the introduction of active components in sleep systems is a solution to fulfill the highest demands in body support.
Active sleep system
DynaSleep is a modular sleep system that measures posture and comfort related parameters during sleep and actively adjust the mechanical interface between the sleep system and the sleeper. DynaSleep responds to posture changes during sleep and silently corrects sub-optimal body support.
The measurements performed by the system can be divided into 4 groups:
- indentation perpendicular to the mattress surface
- temperature in different layers
- humidity in different layers
- motion of the mattress surface (under development)
The active part of the DynaSleep system consist of a set of modules that are capable to adjust the mechanical stiffness of pre-defined zones in the sleeping system. The modules are completey noiseless and posture adjustments are performed at rates of 0.1 mm per second.
